Dave: You did enough research to find Dr. Burton (how he had remained so "hidden" is probably because he isn't at a "high profile" facility like the CC). I surely would have chosen him or Dr. Millar at LDS, had I, or my HMO had him on their PPO list. I was apprehensive about going to such a big center as the CC, but given the financial options-me paying or Aetna paying, I went to Dr. McCarthy and drew Dr. Hammer as my follow-up cardiolgist. I NEVER felt there was anything but co-operation among everyone at the CC, but I agree with you that it must have to happen in a facility like that. I would have been PO'ed if what Tim related had happened to me.
Like Terry, who was at the CC with her sister at the same time as I was, I found Dr. Hammer to be an exemplary physician, who even called me on his own at 10:30PM to check on me 4-5 days after I left the CC. He sure gets my thumbs-up as a great doc! DON'T give up until you reach him or McCarthy, Tim!
