Congratulations Don! You have just taken the hardest step in the whole proces, which is deciding to do what you think is right for you and not what the so-called professionals are telling you. This web-site is a wonderful tool for people with A-Fib, it lets you know there is another choice other than drugs. I know the frustration you have been through as well as the folks who regularly post messages on this board. You will have a couple of tough days after the surgery, but then it is all down hill and with a normal sinus rhythm! I am over 3 yrs post Maze and have not looked back. I thank God for the people at Georgetown University Medical Center where I had my procedure and for Dr. James L. Cox, who pioneered this surgical procedure for all of us. I and many others owe our life to him and all of his associates. May God bless you and your family! Here's to years of a NSR!!!!
