Hello everybody! Sorry it took me so long to post! I am still in rough shape! But would you believe my little ticker is just ticking right along - I have had no problems with my rhythm since my procedure! Now I am at a higher rate than I used to be, 80-90 beats per minute, but the docs said that would probably go back down after some healing has occured. Heck, that even seems like something I could get use to if I had to. Not too much bother.

My procedure (pulmonary vein ablation and focal rf ablations) lasted 8 hours ... my husband says the doctor told him I kept getting ajitated (how do you spell that?) and they kept drugging me up - I had a terrible time waking up and have no memory of it at all after getting on the table and having my first bp taken. I guess, during the procedure they popped out of my vein (left groin area) and poked into my abdominal wall. They didn't notice any problems until after the procdure when I had abdominal pain and my bp dropped to like nothing and my white cell count went way up and I was freezing and I couldn't figure out how to communicate with the right words. I was pretty messed up!

So, I got to visit their fine ICU facility and received the first blood I've ever gotten. 3 units the first day and 2 more a couple days later ... was still in the hospital! It hurts real bad and I'm going to see my doc here for follow up care in the morning. (I am back in WA.)

Glad to have the hard part behind me. Can't believe I have had NSR since!!! Yea! I am very optomistic that all will be well and this will have worked. Dr. Natale, Dr. Schweikert and Dr. Cole all think things went well with the procedure - though they said I was a real challenge due to the fact that I am tall and thin with small veins and a small heart. Well, I guess they earned their pay! :0)

I'm sure that's more than you all wanted to hear, but I think this just might have done the trick! Even though there was a complication, we are still happy with the excellent care we received at CCF. Just a little more healing to go and I think we are on a new road! Thanks for all your support and prayers - thanks for the calls. I really appreciate it.

(*PS I'm switching my insurance coverage! What a joke!)
