As Ed said, the pain is really negligible, probably because either of morphine the first couple of days or the endorphines released by the excitement of being in NSR. My biggest discomfort was my butt, from being in a tilt bed for 4 days. It was numb for weeks!
Set up a "patient page" at www.thestatus.com for your friends to use to follow your progress and to receive their messages during your recovery, and let them know the words to use to log onto the site.
