Hi Carl and everyone. I just returned from the SF area so I am tardy in wishing Carl a happy anniversary. There is no question that his presence on this board (and others) has had a positive effect on many people. Carl is the kind of guy that picks up phone and provides you the encouragement necessary to make decisions that very importantly affect your life. I ran a 50 mile race six months after my maze just so I could say a mazer could do it and when I cross the finish line, there is a cell phone with Carl on it congratulating me. I was still panting but did I ever appreciate it!! It was so much fun for me to remember being in the Cleveland Clinic Guesthouse and have Carl walk into my room wondering what I was doing there (as opposed to still being in the hospital). It just made me feel so much better and this is something Carl does so well.
So, Carl, keep it up. I drank a glass of very good Northern California wine on your behalf while I was up there. I am in on this alumni gathering and I'll ponder any options that I can think of. My best to all alumni.
