I have not forgotten about trying to put something together, and have checked the adgenda for the American College of Cardiology Annual Meeting in Atlanta, 3/17-20, thinking an appearance there would be interesting, but was unable to find anyone presenting anything re: the maze. There are LOTS of presentations re: arrhythmias, including Afib, but the bulk of them are regarding testing, pharmocological treatments, cardioversion techniques, ablation techniques, etc., all of which might be very interesting. I did not recognize any of the "presenters" as being among the current doctors who seem to be at the forefront of ablation line and maze technique development.

In a "Thank You" note I just sent to the Cleveland Clinic, I asked for some help in finding a place where we might all meet, and in addition to making friends "in person", perhaps we could make a difference in some other "afibber's" life, by helping to show some cardiologists that the maze does work! Perhaps "seeing is believing" is the mantra of many of them!

My "Thank You" note to the CC, today, is to mark the one year anniversary of my "cure" from afib! It is a very emotional time for me, knowing where I was just a year ago, and being sure that I would not be here today, but for the daring of those who went before, starting in 1983, the skill of Doctors Cox, McCarthy, Millar, and others, who have decided that they could really make a difference in many lives by being bold, and began to perform the maze, and now continue to improve upon it for the continued benefit of afibbers.

God bless them all!
