Ed: How encouraging to others that you had success in getting your health insurance premiums lowered. I might also add another benefit of the maze for me has been staying out of the ER. In the six weeks before my procedure, I had been admitted to the hospital via the ER four times with A fib/flutter to try out new drugs, all of which failed I might add. By the time I was finished with all of that plus the maze procedure my hospital and doctor bills were well over $100,000.00! I have excellent insurance through my employer, but used up all of my sick leave before I was able to return to work. I probably don't have to bemoan the ramifications of having A fib to those who suffer from it, but thought I would add another insight into how the maze has given me my life back.

Incidentally, my six months anniversary will be February 13th. I feel great, and am looking forward to getting off the meds.

I always enjoy reading your very information posts.
