One More Argument for the Maze

Last year while in AFib, my health insurance premium was based on the high risk factors associated with AFib. When I quit working I had to go out on my own for insurance and the AFib put me into a very high premium area. I was paying well over $500/month for a $2000 deductable.

I recently applied for new insurance based on the fact that I was cured. Today, I received my reply from Blue Cross of California and they accepted me at normal (for my age)premium levels which are $300/month less than I was paying. I am so happy!!!! This is a major saving for me and a tribute to the maze as being a physical and a financial cure!

I will tell you that this did take some work on my part. My cardiologist and personal physician wrote letters for me saying that I showed no signs of AFib and that my EKG was normal and had been normal. I also enclosed the EKG.

For anyone considering the maze, your physical cure is the most important thing that can happen but it may be that you can also save a lot of money in the process.
