No, the Maze operation is done elsewhere in the world as well. I had the Maze done in February -99 at the Huddinge University Hospital just outside of Stockholm, Sweden. Here in Sweden at least three different hospitals offer the Maze operation. I believe it's also being done in the Netherlands, in England and in Norway. I would be surprised if the Maze isn't available in other European countries as well, but that is not to my knowledge. Also - please be aware of the fact that not all cardiologists are "enlightened" in regard of the Maze. My advise is to get a second opinion...
