Carl, I don't know if your high rate would be anything like mine after the Maze. I had a high rate after surgery and my surgeon told me that I was anemic, which is a common thing after surgery, and he put me on a high potency iron supplement, and he said that my rate would came down as my blood was built up, and it did just that. I wouldn't take the iron without seeing your dr. and a blood test to verify it you need it or not.
