I haven't heard much about Dr. Barnes, but what I have heard is good. As I've mentioned, I had my MAZE done by Dr. Millar and I was very pleased with every aspect of his surgery, follow up and the LDS hospital experience. He's done close to 200 MAZE operations. There are several articles by Dr. Millar here or linked at this site and many others at the LDS Hospital site. They actually have a video you can play over the internet of Dr. Millar performing a MAZE and a Mitral Valve repair. I found it fascinating later, but might have been a bit scary to view before surgery. I viewed it without the audio working on my computer, but I know there is audio and he explains what he is doing and the MAZE operation cut by cut.
