Hi Sheena, Thanks so much for the encouragement. I have given myself a 6 month recovery time. I must be one of the stubburn ones and need more recovery time. I am hanging in there and praying for the best.

My limited experience with coumadin has been similar to yours. The doctor has brought me along slowly with dosage and I am at 1.9 Protime. I understand that the goal is 2.0 to 3.0 for atrial fibrilation patients. I do not know what the goal is for value patients. Hopefully someone on the Alumni Board will have some info for you.

As for Cleveland, I have not heard from the Clinic since being discharged. I did call several times at about week 3&4 for advice and they were not very receptive to my calls. They did call back once after I made several calls. It has been difficult since my cardio has no experience with the Maze procedure. I guess I have to wait for the heart to heal and hope for the best.

Thanks again for your concern. I am so happy to hear that you are feeling great. I know how difficult a time you had at Cleveland with the recovery and such.

Have a Merry X-mas and wonderful New Year, Jim
