Jerry, I can add very little to what the other 4 fine alumnus have stated. You have had heard from
Carl, who recently had the full open heart type at Cleveland
Ed who had the minimal recently in Cleveland, and is a form of the minimal through the chest,
Bob who had his in OSU, Columbus, Ohio, where they do the minimal through the ribs,
John who I think had the full open heart type in Houston, Tex.
and myself who had the full open heart type in Peoria, Illinois, in April 98, at the age of 64.
This gives you a look of the maze from different facilities and from different surgeons.
I felt so fortunate to of been cured by the maze that I started this site to try to provide some information to help others make their own informed decision.
Just take everything you read here as something you can follow up on, and check out for your own satisfaction. Any of the Alumnus will be glad to help with information, but everyones views are shaded by their own experiences and histories, and we don't all agree on everything, but it sure gives a person something to think about.
