Angie: Good for you! As you can see by Jackie's (and other posts), you CAN self-refer and get good results as well.
I hope you can have the same great results as Joe has just had, and you can go back to your doctor and be able to say "I told you so" re: the maze.
If your husband is still somewhat put off my your problems, get him to write to some of the spouses of mazers, so perhaps he won't feel you are so "different". I am sure many can offer him words of encouragement, as Jackie has offered.
