risks of maze vs ablation

Other than the fact that ablations are real hit or miss operations as far as curing afib(mostly miss), I wonder why anyone would go through with one considering the fact that strokes are a much higher risk with ablations. They have not had one stroke or death at Cleveland from the 100s of maze operations done there, and you'll probably find similar results at the other maze centers. The success rates for mazes are in the upper 90% now from what I'm hearing. Tough decisions though to have them crack you open. The anticipation is the hardest part by a mile.
