The good news I recieved from my Cardiologist is shown in his comments to the recent test results he requested: "Your own treadmill is excellent. Sinus rhythm is maintained. Your echo now shows the LV ejection fraction is at the lower limit of normal - previously, it was marginily depressed. I also sense a slight decrease in the left atrial size and most impressive is the prescence of an "a" wave on the mitral inflow doppler - this implies that the atria are contracting. Everything convinces me that you have had an excellent result from the Maze surgery".
The only bad news is my heart rate at rest is still higer than normal (94 with a low doze of beta blocker). I hope by time it will go lower.
