Now that there is so much information on the board here, it might be hard to wade through all of it. Expecially for someone new. Amazingly, there are 1245 posts at this time. Many address common re-curring questions.

While there are many articles, most are from medical publications and not in layman's terms. I do not feel in any way qualified to write up any articles or answers to common questions. But, it occurred to me that I or someone could start a "work in progress" that others could critique and/or add to.

Then it hit me, that others might feel better prepared to write up some layman type summaries, such as:

1. Type of MAZE procedures. Pros and cons.

2. Understanding the process. Questions for your Doctor. Issues to discuss.

3. Recovery from the MAZE. What to expect.

4. Complications and challenges during recovery.

Of course, there may be some articles existing already that we haven't identified. Possibly some in the medical field or even some of the MAZE docs have written some articles. If you know of anything, please send it in.

If you want to begin a "work in progress" send it in. We can pass a rough draft among some of the regulars, post it for review and eventually end up with something incredibly helpful for those considering the MAZE or in the recovery stage.

Just some thoughts.

Thanks for all your posts and the help each of you so generously give to others on this board.
