I know that many of you are runners, cyclists, scullers etc and have some experience in getting back to your exercise regimen after surgery. I am now about 4 1/2 weeks past my surgery and I'm feeling pretty good. I walked 6 miles today pretty briskly and have been doing 4 or 5 for about two weeks now. I would like to think about doing some very slow running (maybe 10-12 minute miles). Does anyone have input as to the possible problems (if any)to doing this light running at this point? Will it affect the heart's healing ability? Will it affect anything? I know that Anders and Steve Giddings have returned to running. When did you guys start after surgery? Is it worth waiting? Any input from anyone would be appreciated.
