Chris: I would guess from your post that the pain you experienced was not as much as you expected. We all pretty much have discovered it to be pretty tolerable, and when you settle down into NSR, you will forget even more of the discomfort.
Glad to know that my plug for the Tempur-pedic pillow helped you. I sure wish I had known about it before my maze. Did they let you bring it into the hospital?
They are great! (and often cheap on eBay).
