Hello, everyone. I was released from the hospital on Friday 11/2 after nine days. I spoke to Jack Drum on 10/27 at that time I thought I might go home on 10/29, but it didn't work out. I was still having bouts of AF and the Dr. gave me some Betapace to help, but when they turned of the external pacemaker my heart rate dropped below 50 and into the 30's while asleep. They took me off the Betapace and after a few days the rate raised enough to let me go. I'm still having bouts of AF, along with flutters, and pac's so the heart is sloppy but the rate is not too fast or slow. The Dr has stressed that this may take time for the AF to clear up. They decided not to put me on any medication and see what happens after a few weeks. Right now I just have painkiller and baby aspirin. I'd like to thank everyone for their help, I got my new Tempur-pedic pillow off of EBay and it is the most comfortable pillow I ever owned. I especially would like to thank Jack for calling and his dedication to this site. He's a class act!
