I got a good bit of sleep in yesterday, thanks to the Percocet.

They got me up bright and early today in order to eat breakfast sitting in a chair.

I haven't seen Dr Hammer yet. I saw one of his assistants who was told that I was probably in junctional rhythm. I am wearing a pacemaker so I'm not sure how meaningful the NSR rhythm that is displaying on the monitor is.

Dr Hammer said it would take a few days to determine if I had any problem with Sick Synus Syndrome.
Dr McCarthy says I was suffering from Lone Atrial Fibrillation and in cases like this there is 10% chance of Sick Synus Syndrome.

I am walking around and around the G100/G101 floor until Dr Hammer comes up here to do his rounds. Yesterday, he told me that everything looks great.

I put this bacteria-killing ointment in my nose twice a day as part of a study here. It greatly reduces infections of the surgical scar.

I have been surprised at how little pain I have around the surgical incision. It is easily bearable but it also sufficient to make it hard to go to sleep, so I take Percocet in the evening and during the night.

The incision looks about 3.5 inches long and is located in the breast bone. Moving around in bed is not too painful as long as I use a pulling motion. I had the Minamally Invasive Mase III, I believe.

I asked Dr McCarthy about the "Achilles Heel" of Dr Cox. He said that the problems that Dr Cox had that he named the Achilles Heel were due to the fact that Dr Cox was operating from the right side, through the ribs.

Carl and Ed, thank you very much for your phone calls last night.
Good Luck and Good Health to everyone.
