A brief message to let everyone know my progress. I was discharged from Cleveland Clinic on Thursday, 10/04/01 and am now home (Rochester, NY) and starting my recovery program. Things did not go perfectly with the surgery and I developed a hematoma (blood clot) approx. the size of a golf ball in my right groin area. In addition, I lost a lot of blood during surgery and am aneminc. I still have my Afib during the day and am taking medication for it. Presently, I cannot do basic exercising (walking) because of the hematoma. The hematoma has only decreased about 10% since leaving Cleveland. I see my GP on Monday and hopefully my local Cardiologist early next week to determine best approach with the blood clot. Thanks again for everyone's concern. Jim
