I have seen my Cleveland Clinic's assigned cardiology, Dr. Mills, yesterday after completing the chest x-ray & EKG tests, and the inspection of my chest wounds.

He told me, thas based on the test results, my recovery is on track. I am slightly Anemic but this is expected after the Maze operation blood loss. He also told me that there is no need for Iron Supplement, because I will be OK within several days of normal diet.

He also stated that my heart beat is now slightly higer than normal, about 107 bpm. But, he said do not worry about it since he expecte it to go down during the recovery period of 6-8 weeks. If not, a small doze of beta blocker can be prescibed to lower the fast heart beat when and if it persisted after the 8 weeks of recovery period.

Dr. Mills asked me to join the Cardiac Rehab Classes for one week to impreove on my strength and to increase on my endurance level, while under medical observarion of monitoring the heart rythem, heart beats, and blood preasure. I did start the rehab today.

I am schedule to see dr. Mills on Oct 4th, and plan to travel back to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia on Oct. 6th.

FYI, I am in close contact with Sheena and Jim. Both of which are curently in Cleveland Clinic preparing for the MAZE operation. I believe both of them will have the operation befor the end of this week.
