It really sounds like you're doing well and I concur with Carl.......What are you doing behind the wheel? I had my maze in June 2000 and the incision and muscles remained sore for about 8 to 10 weeks. The ribs felt tight at times and I found that by stretching my arms back and deep breathing it seemed to ease the tension. On particularly humid days I can feel some tightness in the rib cage but that's about it. Don't be afraid to slowly stretch and expand your lungs fully. It helped me. Keep up the good work.
