Dave: It sounds as though you are doing great! But...what are you doing driving? Everyone I have heard of who had the open chest routine was told 6 weeks until driving was OK. I waited six weeks and was still surprised at how much I could feel it when I drove. I still feel some slight soreness which doesn't interfer with anything I do, but I attribute some of that to the 2 week heavy coughing spell (non-maze related) which started on day 12. It really strained my incision and wiring job.
I am 7 months post maze, and figure it will take another few months before I don't feel a thing.
