Dear Mike,
I'm at CC right now and will be having surgery soon, which may include a Maze. I have been in atrial Fib for two years and have a pacemaker. The pacemaker masks any symtoms and controls my heart function on a demand basis and I have no pain or discomfort. the draw back is that I have to take coumadin. If they can fix my heart completely, I will be off coumadin and the pacemaker can be calabrated to give me an unrestricted life. Good luck to you and don't worry about the pacemaker. Sheena
