Michael, I don't have the answer to your question. After my surgery, I went back into AFib and was treated with Rhythmol which caused me serious problems. I then went on other drugs which took me out of AFib but I still had Flutter. I was worried about this and so was Cleveland (I think). But, at 7 weeks, the scars completely healed and I converted to normal sinus rhythm and have stayed there ever since. However, my heart rate was still higher than normal for awhile but has since come down to where it should be. No, I don't think there is atrial tachycardia, just stress on the heart from surgery which eventually went away. Give yourself some time and relax. I am completely back to normal now and can do almost anything that I could do prior to AFib. It's just so great.
