Michael, Carl pretty much says it all. My rate stayed high for awhile also. You have to remember that the heart got pretty beat up in surgery. I think it will take about 3 months before there is any real normalcy. Exercise does help. By three months, I could run a fair distance easily and at six months, I went a lot further. When I was running, my heart would just tick along nicely. The only thing I really notice now is a few PAC's when I'm tired. I don't know if those will ever go away but they don't really bother me.
