Back Home feeling great!

We are now back in Cedar Rapids, IA. I am still in normal sinus rhythm and feeling great! I am recovering fast from the open chest procedure and expect to be able to return to work 9/17/01 (three weeks post op). I can sleep on my side and my biggest discomfort source is itching as my main incision heals. I can easily walk on my treadmill and plan to experiment with running once I get a new battery for my heart rate monitor today. Last Friday I had an EKG and it was great to see one that did not say 'atrial fibrillation'. This week I plan to visit with my local cardiologist. I am curious to know if my atria are actually beating and I am sure that he can shed some light on that. Once again thanks for all the good wishes that have sustained us during this stressful time.
