Whether or not you can get surgery using "minimally invasive" techniques should have no influence or whether or not you have the procedure done. According to Dr. Cox the "minimally invasive" procedure is actually more invasive than the standard procedure, because you must be on the heart/lung machine for a longer period of time. The only advantage is a more pleasing looking scar. As long as you are not a swimsuit model who cares as long as you are cured.
