Steve, two years ago Dr. Schaff performed a maze and mitral valve repair on me. The repair was successful. After a year the maze failed and last January I had to have a-fib corrected at the Cleveland Clinic with an a PVI/ablation. While I prefer the Mayio Clinic, in retrospect I think I would have had everything done at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Schaff is chief of thorasic surgery. He does all kinds of procedures. The CC doctors have narrower specialties so they have more expertise with the maze and they can also tell you whether it is a maze you need or possibly a much simpler ablation.
