Steve, Dr. Schaff did a maze on me along with a mitral valve repair two years ago. The repair was a success but not the maze. I had to have an ablation last January at the Cleveland Clinic to correct the a-fib. Although I like the Mayo Clinic and the qualiy of care, in retrospect I would have chosen the Cleveland Clinic in the first place because whereas Dr. Schaff does all kinds of thorasic surgery, there are doctors at the Cleveland Clinic who specialize in maze surgery.
