I stopped all anti-arrhythmic drugs less than 4 weeks post maze, and took coumadin for about 3 months. I did have 2 episodes of atrial flutter post-maze: one at about 3 months, and one at 19 months. I am unaware of having experienced any other arrhythmias for over 3-1/2 years. I would NOT be here, but for the Maze, since the drugs were about to kill me.
