Hope you'er better today. I would sure support John's idea of seeing Dr. Massumi and Dr. Duncan for a second opion. As you know I had my Maze by Dr. Duncan in 12-2001. I have not had any a-fib since.
Dr. Duncan does the full MAZE. He told me it was because he thinks there is less pain than going through the ribs and he likes being able to view the whole area. As for me I felt the MAZE offered greater chance for a cure and with some of the less risk of a stroke. I also don't recomend open heart sureguy without getting all the info you can. I can't imagine two better physicans or hosptial. I havn't seen the new THI but undersantd it is the top of the line.
