I was sent to Melbourne by my Cardiologist for assement for PVA by a Consulting Cardiologist. I was getting a lot of Ectopic beats (sometimes quite wild) that were causing AF at night about every 2-3 days (this was self correcting - Amiodarone probably, after about 3-12 hours). I was on Amiodarone and still am but I am hopeful of dropping this. The Melbourne Consultant said that I should try an ACE Inhibitor (Coversyl 4mg in Australia). This was over 6 weeks ago and after a few days I stopped having the ectopics and the consequent AF again. It may not stay away forever but its just fantastic. I had just about resigned myself to at least a PVA so its wonderful that the ACE Inhibitor has done so well.

I am posting this as there may be some of you with similar symptoms to me who could discuss this with your cardiologist.
