Actually, what causes erratic heart beat…just some thoughts Glenn. I think it’s pretty straightforward.

The body chemistry, mainly through gland secreting hormones, that makes the synapses fire at the nerve/muscle level….creating electricity (chemically…wow). This is a pretty neat way God created, but unfortunately, for us Afibbers, the normally, healthy pathway, for the electricity to travel in our hearts got screwed up and our chemically induced electrical current doesn’t travel the right way! It tries to make short cuts/circuits……So man tries to fix this, by making scar tissue in the right places, and “herding” the electrical impulses through the normal pathways again.

I’m not talking about “triggers” because in my past experience, it was a waste of time…way at the end of what caused my AF in importance.

It makes sense that the good doctors who try to coax our hearts through Maze and RF ablation, do this, as artists, plying their trade. They have to look at each patient differently, see what and where, and do the best they can. They cut, burn, and suture, wielding catheters, and scalpels as an artist does brush and chisel to “create” and mould. Certainly not an “exact” science, which is why it’s so important to go to BEST.

Actually, pretty simple. S.
