Cynthia,
I just had a maze, mitral valve replacement, tricuspid valve repair and heart patch in CC 4 weeks
ago and still in A-fib, which I was in before the surgery. It is not unusual to have to wait for two to
three months while the heart heals before it reverts to SR. By the way how does one get on the list to be honored that you talked about. I had my Starr/Edwards
model 6000 implanted in 1964. Also I wrote an email to
Dr Starr via his website to see if Amanda Dao was still
alive- She is the only who could be a longer surviver
of valve replacement surgery then me, as my date was
Oct 26, 1960 at St. Vincent, Cleveland, Ohio. I never got a reply from Dr. Starr- perhaps you could use your
contacts to find out about Mrs Dao's health.
Thanks and good health to you.
