Hi Pete
Thanks for that I thought that might be the case but better to ask a stupid question than asume the wrong answer. We don't have a system of finding out who dose what and whay their track record is in their field although I think that is going to change it is down to your GP to refer you the consultant he thinks has the best chance of offering you a solution.Your right about the side effects of Amioderone my EP has put me on 200mg three times a day for the first two weeks dropping down to 200mg once a day coupled with a beta blocker, if I could choose what side effects I could have then loosing 24 pounds would be ok with me but you can keep the rest.
I don't remember any real side effects as I have been on this drug before as you say it stops the Afib I will keep an eye on how it effects me this time although I gather the side effects are directly related to dosage so maybe I have never had a lage enough dose for me to notice the difference.
