When I got home from the hospital, I had to sleep on my back to keep my sternum from moving during sleep. This was a pain for me, but when I slept on my side, I felt too much movement. One of the cardinal rules for healing a bone is immobilization. If you don't have a real soft bed, get a soft mattress pad before you do the maze, you can thank me for this information when you get home. Good luck on your new lease on life. Rob
