Hines isn't the greates medical facility in the world. Unfortunately for Byron, he apparently wasn't aware that Dr. McCarthy is now at Northwestern and highly rated Loyola University Hospital is right next to Hines. It is very important that ALL of us contemplating serious procedures like the maze or PVA make certain we do our homework. My feeling is that Byron would be alive today if he had gone to the superior facility and doctor.
