John,
PVC's feel like what most of us call 'skipped beats'. The heart beats prematurely and then pauses to get back in rhythym. I hope you never have them as bad as I do. There is no way to ignore the kind I have, they definitely get your attention. They have been as bad today as any I've experienced. Makes me so weak even my voice gets weak. I am unable to stand up or walk around. I am getting a few good beats in between them. It has been eight weeks ago today since my ablation to 'knock out' afib. I wish pvc's had also been eliminated at the same time but wishing won't get it done. They don't seem to be subsiding yet as the Dr. had predicted they would. I have only had one good day that I did not feel pvc's during the eight weeks.
I hope the Dr(s) can determine from the Holter monitor what is causing your 'missed' beats and hopefully determine the correct procedure to alleviate them. It can be very worrisome I know.
I checked yesterday and my cardiologist had only forwarded a few of the tracings of episodes to Dr. Cheng in Houston that I had sent to Raytel on the telephone using the thirty day event monitor. The thirty days expired on April 22. I will have to wait until Dr. Cheng receives all of the tracings and makes a determination of the origin of pvc's before I can schedule an appointment with him in Houston.
I had 'telephoned' eighty two different episodes of the worst feelilng pvc's and not all those as they were repititous of ones I had already sent.Sounds like I'm complaining and I suppose I am but I'm just 'telling it like it is'. I will be glad when I can report .... 'no more pvc's' and I know everyone here will be glad so I'll shutup about them.
