Hi guys I have posted messages on this site before but it was some time ago So I will sumerise briefly I am 55 I was diagnosed in mid 2000 with permanent AF they tried drugs and cardio conversion then in Nov 2002 I had the Cox Maze 3 op this was succesful for about 2 weeks so still on drugs Sotalol 160mg twice a day and bp tablets etc the heart specialist I am under thinks I now have flutter the sergeon who performed the op is sure I am just having some ectopics.

The heart specialst perfomed an EPS and a subsequent ablation should sort the problem er no it lasted about 2 days, I had a 72 hour heart monitor fitted prior to the EPS now I though this was to confirm the need for an ablation but apparently not as when I went to see him after the EPS he told me it showed me still suffering bouts of AF so now I have to have another 72 hour tape as I have had an Ablation since the last one.

I am a bit depressed about all this as when I was diagnosed apart from feeling a bit tired at time I had no idea there was anthing wrong now I feel worse every operation has made me feel worse I wish I fact that I had just left things alone.
