I don't even check my pulse anymore. NO limits, no restrictions, no drugs, no regrets.

Three years ago I had my MAZE at LDS Hospital by Dr. Millar. Never a moment of Atrial Fibrillation since. After so many years (almost 30) of barely being able to walk up stairs at times, almost passing out regularly, controlled falls to the floor and tons of remedies and rumors about how to minimize Afib - it's gone - forever.

Nothing I can do will set it off. No amount of stress, no foods, no amount of exercize, little or no sleep - it doesn't matter. It's gone.

Thank you Dr. Millar, Dr. Cox, Jim Pope, Jack, Ed, Carl and all who post here encouraging and educating people. It's amazing how easy it is to actually forget about Atrial Fibrillation - even the MAZE procedure. At times I look at the scar and say to myself "oh yeah, I had surgery".

It's easy to forget the fear and uncertainty, but the thing I remember most is the encouragement from the people here and an incredibly reassuring phone call as I was in the hospital preparing for surgery.

Thank you everyone. I celebrate three birthdays and by one of them I just turned three. A cat may have nine lives. MAZE patients get at least two.
