I am afraid I have to agree with Henry. These new drugs are meant to control, not cure AF. One question, you have to ask yourself and it is a big one when taking any drugs for AF is, what is this stuff doing to the rest of your body?
I think the meds are a good choice at first, especially when the attacks are few and far between but as the AF increase in duration and frequency and the meds need to be continually increased, will you still rely on stronger and then even more stronger meds?
My choice after going the whole nine yards of meds in 13yrs is to have an ablation. It was a long time coming for me but a world off of medications is something I can't even begin to fathom.
So, after all this blathering, I guess what I am saying is medications, even new ones, are only a Band-Aid, it seems to me, not a fix.
