Laura,

I'm not Tony but I have had very forceful pvc's since 1964. I am one of the unfortunate people to be very symptomatic of pvc's or for that matter any irregular heartbeats. I would prefer not to be so symptomatic but that's the way it is.

As far as how they make you feel, all depends on how forceful or strong the pvc's are. Sometimes I have what I call a 'regular' pvc and I am just aware that I have had a pvc. Other times they are so forceful it feels like someone grabs me by the throat and jerks the breath out of me and is immediately followed by a feeling of anxiety until I recover. These kind makes me feel pretty lousy. Sometimes they are in secession or one following the other and as many as 30, 40, or 50 a minute and that kind takes me down. When this happens I start having urgent frequent urination and can't stand up. If it has been awhile since I have taken my medications I take more of them and maybe a 1/2 to 1 mg of xanax to help settle me down somewhat and 'ride it out'. These kind make me feel really baaaaaaad like I'm not going to make it and shortness of breath also. I haven't had one of these episodes since the 18th of March. I have had several days since that time that I have had bad pvc's all day long and today is one of those days, just laying around but pvc's are running about two per minute today. Too many though.

I had pulmonary vein ablation March 9, and I haven't had anymore atrial fibrillation, but pvc's have been eating my lunch so to speak. However, it will take three or more months for my heart to heal from the burn scars created with the ablation.

I had a good couple of days last Friday and Saturday. It even felt like I used to remember when I felt good. I even begin to think maybe I am passed the period of being bothered with pvc's anymore, but not the case yet.
