I just posted this note on another board. But your post on this board made me send it here too. Like you, I had an astounding doctor's visit yesterday. So here it is.
After several days of break throuh AF I went back to my cardio to have my Norpace increased. While I was there I ask him point blank, do you have any patients that have had PVA's and how did they do. He had been very negative with me in the past.
His answer really surprised me. He said yes, quite a few and his patients had done remarkably well. There was either a drastic reduction of meds or completely off of all meds. You could have knocked me over with a feather! He told me he would do whatever I needed him to do to help. This was the man who kept telling me I wasn't ready!
So, I quess what the message from my post is that if my super- conservative small town cardiologist has seen a vast improvement in the results of PVA's, they must be working.
So,I will be calling Brigham's in Boston and if they have a slot open in May, I will have my PVA done then.
