Folks I heard it with my own two ears! My cardiologist told me the other day that he wouldn't hesitate a minute to have a pva(i) or maze surgery in order to be rid of afib and any other irregularity of the heart; pvc's, tachy, bigemiy, etc.. I told him to repeat that please.

This is the same cardiologist that has never mentioned anything to me about ablations or maze in the past. I asked him where he had been and where was his brain during all the past problems I have had over the years. He told me not to hesitate if I required a touch-up ablation or ablation for the pvc's either. I have been seeing him since 1997. Had afib since 1971. I actually hadn't seen him since last June until I saw him when I was in the hospital a couple days a week ago and he attended me then because the EP was out of the country.

The EP that is part of his group is the Dr. who told me the middle of January that maze surgery and pulmonary vein ablations were just too risky and still experimental.

I thought I would pass this along as "it's a mind-boggling thing".

Glenn
