Carley there are several people on the board that had the maze for lone atrial fibrillation, including myself.
It is usually a personal choice as when you have had enough of the AF, and the medicataion.
I would investigate all your options, and don't rush a decision, but when you make the decision, to make it from being a informed patient.
I spent many years on the meds., as there wasn't any cure to start. I was finally offered the maze, and actually put it off for 5 years.
I had no computer, and very little information then, but was lucky to have a good EP., and a good local surgeon.
