This opinion may only be worth what you have paid for it but here it goes. I do not think being athletic as anything do do with having A-Fib. If it did it would be a medical established fact by now. Think of all those highly conditioned in professional sports who do not have A-Fib. If there was a cause and effect relationship it would be evident I would think.
My take, get all the exercise you can. It yields positive dividents.
