Al, it might be some flutter your having, but many of us, including me had a high heart rate of over 100 after surgery, and it wasn't flutter, it was from being anemic. Have they said anything to you about your blood count. My surgeon put me on a high potency iron suppliment which helped build my blood up. The heart rate came down as my blood was built up and became normal.
That walking is great exercise, and keep it up as much as you can.
